Welcome to my business! I'm Kaely McKee, a native of rural West Tennessee and proudly serving our community still today.
As a small business owner with a busy family life, I know just how important it is to take a little time for yourself to feel special, pampered and beautiful (even if that means bringing your laptop to the salon). I've tailored my business to give you the best of both world - a mini escape from your daily hustle, that is still time efficient to get you back to your day.

I've been a stylist since the tender age of 18. Twelve+ years later and I've never been more in love with my clients and my craft. I specialize in blended dimensional hair color and the most natural looking extension solutions available. I take great pride in the fact I travel at least twice annually for extension and specialty color placement classes.
While most stylists offer a great first visit and solid maintenance care thereafter, I see my role as your stylist a bitter differently. Don't expect to hear me calling from the color room that I'm mixing your color when you arrive. I check in with my guests at each visit to learn what's working and what's not and if any adjustments are needed.
When I'm not in the salon, I'm quite the homebody. I'm outside enjoying my backporch with our black lab Avery every chance we get. Comfy clothes and messy buns are a staple around my house and when I'm running errands and I've got the BEST dry shampoo to share with you that keeps it cute.
One thing clients love about visiting me at South of New York Salon & Spa is having the option of a one-stop-shop. We have 3 amazing estheticians, all with different specialties - from waxing to targeted facials to medspa services, as well as a fabulous massage therapist. I love coming to work with my friends each day, we have a unique welcoming vibe that I believe sets us apart.
